Annual Colorado Health Literacy Conference

The annual Colorado Health Literacy Conference brings together hospitals and health care practices from across the state to strengthen health literacy as a core component of patient-centered care. Scheduled for Thursday, October 15, this year’s conference will focus on the theme, “Adapting Communication for High-Needs and Diverse Populations: A Public Health Approach to Health Literacy.” Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from keynote speaker Michelle Litchman from the University of Utah, whose expertise will help frame discussions around innovative strategies, community partnerships, and practical tools that improve patients’ ability to understand and act on health information. Through collaborative sessions, participants will explore ways to reduce communication barriers, advance health equity, and elevate statewide standards of care. The conference serves as a catalyst for shared learning and a unified commitment to improving health outcomes for all Coloradans.
