The Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma (ASSET) course uses human cadavers to teach key surgical exposures in the neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis and both upper and lower extremities of the anatomic structures that, when injured, may pose a threat to life or limb.
This one-day course covers each anatomic section, beginning with a case-based overview that is followed by hands-on exposure guided by the faculty. Each student assesses their ability to perform each exposure independently and is evaluated on knowledge and technical skills.
The course fee is $1,100 and includes course materials, breakfast, lunch and refreshments. Limited scholarships are available - contact [email protected] or 720.848.4805 to receive a scholarship discount code during registration or for additional information.
