University of Colorado Hospital, Aurora, Colorado, is proud to offer the Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) hybrid course. ATCN is an advanced course designed for the registered nurse interested in increasing their knowledge in management of the multiple trauma patient. This course is delivered in a hybrid format. Participants will be required to view 10 videos and complete 15 online modules prior to the course date through the ATLS learning management system. This format follows the same ATLS provider curriculum. After completing the online component, participants will attend a one-day, in-person skills and testing session to finalize course completion.

Initial assessment and management
Airway breathing and ventilator management
Circulation and hemorrhagic control
Disabilities
Pediatric trauma
Special populations
In addition, it is recommended the student has taken a Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) at least once.
The Society of Trauma Nurses is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Centers Commission on Accreditation.
Registration
The course fee is $350 and includes the ATCN manual and access to the online ATLS manual and course materials. Breakfast, lunch and refreshments are provided. A $175 discount is also provided to UCHealth employees - enter ATCNDISCOUNT in the Promo Code box.
Cancellation Policy
The deadline to cancel is 30 days prior to the course date and will result in a refund minus $225 to cover the cost of the manuals. No refund will be provided after the 30-day deadline.
