This class serves all the north region hospitals - Poudre Valley Hospital (Fort Collins), Medical Center of the Rockies (Loveland) and Greeley Hospital.

Breastfeeding, like any new skill, can take time and practice to learn. Join our Breastfeeding Basics class for the opportunity to build your knowledge and confidence before your baby arrives with our nationally certified lactation instructor.

This class discusses the benefits of breastfeeding, establishing and maintaining good milk supply, feeding techniques, breast pumps, milk storage and how to successfully navigate breastfeeding challenges. Your Breastfeeding Basics registration includes an InJoy breastfeeding teaching booklet.

Fee includes one support person.

You will receive a reminder email with class information several days before class begins. Occasionally, your email server puts this reminder email into your spam folder. Please check a day before class begins to make sure you have received it. The class name, Breastfeeding Basics, will be in the subject line so you can search for it. Please call the office during regular business hours if you cannot find the reminder in your email.

Masks are optional during the class for all individuals.

If you or your support person is feeling sick, please do not attend the class. Let us know as soon as possible (970.495.7500) and we will try to move you into another class or refund you. Thank you for helping us keep all class participants safe and healthy.

Please call Family Education at 970.495.7500 for more information or assistance. If minimum childbirth class enrollment is not met, the class may be canceled. We will make every attempt to transfer you into another childbirth class or offer a full refund.
