Like any new skill, breastfeeding takes knowledge and practice to be successful. Our breastfeeding classes offer pregnant women and their partners the chance to prepare for breastfeeding and ask questions before the baby's arrival.
Some of the things you and your partner will learn include: Breast anatomy and how we make milk. Feeding cues and how much a baby needs. Positioning and latching. Establishing a good milk supply. Health benefits to mom and baby. Care of the nursing mom. How to find resources.
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring water and snacks with you to class. Cost of class includes two participants.
This class will be held at the UCHealth Highland Ranch Hospital Summit Conference Room A&B, Ground Floor.
