Safe Kids Northern Colorado is pleased to offer classes for families in financial need of a car seat/booster seat for their child . Attend a 1-hour class to learn about proper car seat use. At the end, you receive a brand-new car seat appropriate for the age, weight and height of your child. Please read the guidelines below before registering.

Distribution is limited to one (1) seat per family, per year. This program is to provide the main car seat for a child, not a second seat for a second car. If you are expecting, please register for a class 2 to 3 months prior to your due date (no sooner). Donation : $30 to support Safe Kids is requested but not required. Cash, check or credit card is accepted at class. Thank you for your donation. Your support helps ensure this program can continue to assist parents in the future. Kids and support people are welcome. What car seat will you get? UPDATED Expectant parents will receive a convertible seat . Newborns through 2-year olds will receive a convertible seat that goes rear facing to 40 lbs. and forward facing to 50 lbs. 3-year to 4-year-olds will receive a combination seat that goes from a forward-facing harness to a high-back booster seat. Ages 5 and up will receive a high-back or no-back booster. Brand of car seat will be dependent on what was in stock but is usually a Graco or Evenflo.
