This Emergency Medical Technician course meets or exceeds all Colorado state and National Education Standards. It consists of 160 hours of classroom instruction plus an additional 10-hour clinical shift in the hospital. Upon completing this course, students will be eligible to take the NREMT EMT certification exam.
This class will be held in Teller County at the Divide Fire Station 1, every Tuesday and Thursday, September 1 to December 17, 2026, from 6 pm to 10 pm.
Additional documentation must be submitted with the application. This includes:
Shot record
Negative TB test within the past nine months
Copy of a driver’s license
High school diploma, GED, or college transcripts
A flu shot will be required for the Fall session
A background check and drug screen are also required and will be conducted through our office.
The required textbook for this course will be provided at the time of registration.
Class fee: $1,200.00. UCHealth employees, military personnel, and members of EMS/fire agencies who receive medical direction through UCHealth are eligible for a 25% discount.
