The EMT IV Approval course is a 3-day event.

This EMT IV approval course is for CO state-certified EMTs. It includes 28.5 hours of lecture and practical training and an 8-hour in-house clinical.

Discounts are available to UCH EMT students who have completed EMT training within the last 12 months, as well as to military personnel, UCH employees, and members of UCH-affiliated EMS agencies. The discount is only available when you register for the class. Please call our office or email [email protected] to obtain a discount code before registering for the EMT IV approval course. Registration for this event closes on Monday, March 30, at 5 pm.

Location: **This EMT IV Approval Class is held at 2050 Kidskare Point, Room 111. It will last three 9.5-hour days and include an in-hospital clinical after the classroom portion is completed.

EMT IV Approval class Requirements: You must be a Colorado-certified EMT to take this EMT IV approval course (different than NREMT). A copy of your state certification must be provided to our office on the first day of class. Please do not register for this class until you have your CO EMT certification number. Please call our office if you have questions about state certification.

You must also submit the following documentation on the first day of EMT IV class: Hepatitis B Vaccine or a signed Hepatitis B Vaccine Declination Form (available in our office); MMR x 2; varicella vaccine or history of chickenpox. Must also provide negative tuberculosis test results within 10 months at the start of class. Current Health Care Provider CPR (BLS) is also required. Please bring copies of all documentation on the first day, even if you recently took our EMT class. You will need a background check and drug screen. Our office will provide the forms and information on the first day of class.

Note: Please do not attend class if you have any symptoms of illness. Your instructor will email you additional information prior to class.
