In-person: Understanding Postpartum Health and Baby Care - Highlands Ranch

This fun, interactive course is encouraged before you deliver to boost your confidence and help you transition into your new role as a parent. We provide expectant parents with practical information to help prepare you for your baby's first months at home. You will learn vital information on caring for your baby, from the basics of swaddling and diapering to life-saving skills including CPR, choking and infant safety.

You will learn about: Tips on adjusting to parenthood. Bathing, diapering, swaddling, burping and handling. Umbilical cord and circumcision care. Crying. Safe sleep and wake cycles. When to call the doctor. CPR and choking. Postpartum essentials.

Please note: This class does not provide breastfeeding techniques or CPR certification.

Please wear comfortable clothing, bring water and snacks with you to class.

Cost of class includes two participants.

The class will be held at the UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital Summit Conference Rooms A&B, Ground Floor.
