Intimate Partner Violence Skills Education
This hybrid course is designed to prepare SANEs and Advanced Practice RNs to enhance their forensic nursing practice by learning how to perform assessments specifically for IPV patients. After completing the didactic modules, participants will practice with a live model to obtain a history, conduct a detailed physical assessment, document photographs, collect evidence, and consider safety aspects.
To be eligible to participate, you must hold an unencumbered RN or advanced practice licensure. You must have completed a didactic portion of SANE education and be able to provide a certificate of completion and finish the online education before attending the live course.
The course provides 16 hours of continuing education through ULearn, which must be completed to qualify for the live session.
Course Format: The course includes 16 hours of enduring education through ULearn, which must be completed by April 8, 2026, to be eligible to attend the live portion 8-hour Live Session: September 12, 2025, in-person (address provided upon completion of the enduring education).
