Welcome to Understanding Birth eClass , a unique online learning experience that provides comprehensive information you can trust as you prepare for your upcoming birth. In this class, you will learn all about the birth process and medical procedures through instructive video clips, animations and interactive games. You will also get a sense of what labor is really like as you watch several birth stories. You will even have an opportunity to create your own birth plan!

You can complete the modules at your own pace. Seven to eight hours are recommended for the completion of the class material, and you may do this in several shorter sessions. Your labor partner is encouraged to participate in the online class with you.

In addition, you will have the ability to reach out to our UCHealth Childbirth/Breastfeeding instructors to ask follow-up questions and continue the conversation. While we will miss our ability to work with you in person during this time, we will remain continuous resources for you as we always have been.
