Like any new skill, breastfeeding takes knowledge and practice to be successful. Our breastfeeding classes offer you and your partner the chance to prepare for breastfeeding and ask questions before the baby's arrival.
Some of the things you and your partner will learn include: Breast anatomy and how we make milk. Feeding cues and how much a baby needs. Positioning and latching. Establishing a good milk supply. Health benefits to mom and baby. Care of the nursing mom. How to find resources.
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring water and snacks with you to class.
Cost of class is $45.00 which includes mom and one support person.
This class will be held at the University of Colorado Hospital. Please enter through the front entrance of the hospital and check in at the front desk. Let them know that you need to go to the "E" elevators. Take the "E" elevators to the 5th floor and turn right, then take another right and the room will be on the left side (Room # 5.516). There will be signs posted to direct you as well.
